August 2022, The Original Idea of Nomaden

While working remotely in a cafe in Rio de Janeiro, Richiko started working with the idea to create bespoke space for remote workers.

April 2023, Co-Creating with Mario

the idea to begin in Sicily started during a walk in the park, design of the initial concept in cafe brainstorming ideas

Richiko Olrichs

FOUNDER / DIRECTOR

Innovative entrepreneur with a diverse background in property management, hospitality and business, Richiko's passion for a remote lifestyle led her to establish Nomaden, a go-to destination for those seeking flexible and inspiring spaces. A passionate traveler, she fell in love with Sicily on her first visit. The island became the inspiration for Nomaden's first destination.

Mario Vitabile

CO-FOUNDER / PROJECT MANAGER

Born and raised in Sicily, Mario has dedicated his career to the hospitality, operations and project management sectors. With a passion for supporting remote workers, Mario is commited to creating facilities that cater to their diverse needs and lifestyles. As a proud Sicilian, Mario is driven to contribute to the island's growing reputation as a desirable destination for remote professionals.

Cristiano Serra

Architect

Sicilian architect Cristiano and his team have been supporting Nomaden since the very start of the journey to find the ideal home for remote professionals. Cristiano brings local knowledge and a wealth of architectural expertise to make sure the authentic characteristics of the building are elevated while ensuring a modern design of the space based on the needs of remote professionals. Being part of this project allows him to combine his passion for design with the deep connections to his home, Sicily.

Laura Lo Mascolo

CEO of Interlude Management s.r.l.

Laura is a seasoned hospitality professional with extensive experience in the hotel and tourism industry. This experience led her to found Interlude Management, a company that strategically supports independent accommodation facilities across Sicily. Nomaden proudly partners with Interlude as the accommodation partner in Palermo, Sicily.

Davide Santangelo

Graphic Designer

Experienced senior graphic designer Davide has created the brand and visual identity of Nomaden. Collaborating with the founders in a sunny Sicilian coffee shop, Davide has been supporting the creative process behind the logo design, helping to build a brand that reflects a vibrant, connected community for remote workers in Palermo.

Luca Rappa

Photographer and video maker

Luca is a Sicilian filmmaker and content creator with a passion for telling stories through the lens of his camera. Born in Palermo, Luca has worked as a video maker since 2015 and expanded his skills to content creator in 2019. Since then, he has collaborated with important names in the industry. Working alongside renowned professionals has taught him the importance of visual storytelling, which led him to continually refine his skills.

Nienke Nina Keizer

MARKETING

Nienke Nina combines 10+ years of marketing and content expertise with deep knowledge of digital nomad and remote work audiences. Host of the Digital Nomads Daily Podcast and recognized in the Remote Influencer Report 2024, she is an inspiring voice in the remote work community.
